We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Children and Family Support Team to provide pre and post bereavement support to children, young people, and families where a parent (or primary carer) has a life limiting condition or has died. Support sessions may take place in one-to-one, family and group settings at the hospice, at home and in schools.

You will need:

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in healthcare, education, or social work to support this role
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and families (e.g. healthcare, school, charity, social work, youth work, children/family centre, etc)
  • Experience of working with bereavement or loss providing support
  • Experience of working with groups or families
  • Experience of working creatively and therapeutically with children and young people (e.g. Art, Play, Drama, Music Therapy, etc)
