Children and Family Support Worker
Queen's Park Infant Academy
Hours: 30 hours per week
Hours: 8.45am - 3.15pm Monday - Friday
Weeks: 39 working weeks (term time only)
Salary: Grade 6 SCP 16-22 (FTE £31,525 - £34,811 per annum)
Actual Salary: £21,887 - 24,824 per annum pro rata
Position: Permanent, starting January 2027
Queens Park Infant Academy is seeking to appoint a wonderful Children and Family Support Worker to join our dedicated and friendly staff team. As a Children and Family Support Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting our children and families across the school community.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will offer early pastoral, relational behaviour and preventative support/guidance/advice to both our children and families. The Family Support Worker will also signpost parents to relevant external partners where necessary.

You will need to be able to work individually, and as part of the Inclusion and Safeguarding team, to support the overall vision and values of the school. The successful candidate would also be a deputy designated safeguard lead (full training would be provided if required).
We are looking for a Children and Family Support Worker who:
- Is passionate about helping children and families thrive.
- Is knowledgeable and experienced in working with children and families including safeguarding.
- Is resilient
- Is able to build on existing good practice in the school.
- Demonstrates empathy, sensitivity and resilience.
- Has a good sense of humour and excellent communication skills.
