Overview

We have an opportunity available for a Children and Young People Wellbeing Worker to join the team at Beacon Counselling based in Stockport, SK1 3DL.

Salary: £14.15 per hour

Hours: 17 weekly

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for supporting young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health in school and in the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct support to young people in schools and the community
  • Using a range of evidence-based tools and techniques for assessment, goals and motivating young people
  • Carrying out assessments to ensure suitability for the service
  • Managing your own case load

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children and young people is essential for this role. You must have a recognised qualification in working with mental health and well-being or significant experience supporting children and young people's emotional well-being and mental health. A CBT qualification is desirable for this role.

We are looking for individuals with awareness of mental and emotional health issues affecting children, young people and their families. It is important you have excellent communication skills and can engage effectively with a wide range of people and age groups, and build strong working relationships.
