Children and Young People’s Outreach Worker at Key Unlocking Futures

At Key Unlocking Futures, part of Progress Housing Group, we help people across Lancashire build better lives. For over 30 years, we’ve supported children, young people and families through difficult times with compassionate, practical services that make a real difference.

We’re looking for a compassionate and resilient Children & Young People Outreach Worker to support children and young people who are living with the effects of domestic abuse and violence. You’ll provide practical and emotional support, helping them understand that the abuse is not their fault, stay safe, rebuild their confidence and work towards goals that matter to them.

Your Role as a Children and Young People’s Outreach Worker for Key:

As a Children and Young People’s Outreach Worker, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed one-to-one and group support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. You will manage a varied caseload, assess risk and create personalised safety plans that promote safety, resilience and wellbeing.

Working with statutory and voluntary partners, you will help people access the right support at the right time and contribute to outreach, early intervention and awareness-raising activities. Through practical support, advocacy and kindness, you will empower survivors to rebuild confidence, regain independence and move forward.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
