Welcome

Our service has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a children and young person's therapist. The post-holder will be carrying out clinical work across education and community settings in specific geographical locations. The role requires the post-holder to provide interventions for children, young people or families using child-centred, evidence-based interventions (0-25 yrs.). The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages and should be committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. Supervision, Travel Expenses and CPD provided.

About Nessie

Nessie aims to support children and young people's emotional and mental health by providing a range of therapeutic services; being based in educational settings; supporting families; supporting staff and linking closely with other services and the national agenda. We are a people first, not for profit organisation who values diversity.

About the Role

We are looking to expand our thriving community of creative arts therapists and holistic counsellors to support children, young people and their families who experience Emotional and Environmental Barriers to School Attendance (EEBSA). Applicants could also be considered for roles across the service where opportunities exist. The role is best suited for applicants that can work autonomously, balancing a busy caseload, including travel and supervision.

Nessie provides counselling and arts therapies (Art, Drama, Music and Play) to support the mental health of children, young people and their families. You will be required to provide clinical work in a range of education and community settings face to face and online when needed. Travelling between multiple settings is a requirement of the role. You are also required to attend termly staff meetings in person.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
