Role Description
The Children Social Worker at Wendi will provide remote, full-time support to children and families engaged in Wendi’s programs, with a focus on holistic well-being, protection, and empowerment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Assessing the needs and strengths of children
- Developing support plans
- Coordinating access to education, health, and social services
- Conducting virtual counseling sessions
- Offering psychosocial support
- Maintaining regular communication with caregivers, community partners, and internal teams

The role involves documenting cases, tracking progress, and preparing reports to inform program improvements and advocacy efforts. Collaboration with educators, community leaders, and other social workers is essential to ensure child safety, inclusion, and positive development outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong child-focused social work skills, including assessment, case management, and psychosocial support.
- Experience working with vulnerable children, families, and communities, ideally within a non-profit or community development context.
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across cultural and linguistic differences, using remote communication tools.
- Knowledge of child protection principles, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding best practices.
- Proven organizational skills, including documentation, reporting, and time management in a remote work setting.
- Relevant academic background in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, Child Development, or a related field.
- Capacity to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and build partnerships with schools, health providers, and community organizations.
- Commitment to Wendi’s mission of empowerment, equality, and sustainable nation-building, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
