Company Description
Storybook Studios delivers premium, story led enrichment experiences for preschool and primary-aged children across Kent and East Sussex. The programs are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of reading while blending education with imagination. Storybook Studios partners with schools, nurseries, and community settings to provide high-quality enrichment clubs, workshops, and holiday experiences that inspire children to explore, create, and thrive.
Role Description
The After School Enrichment Class Leader is a flexible, part-time, term-time role delivering Storybook Studios' creative enrichment classes in schools across East Sussex, including Rotherfield, Mayfield, Frant, and Wadhurst.
Rather than teaching every subject, you'll become the lead for one or more of our specialist programmes, depending on your skills, experience, and interests. These include:
- Story-led Cookery
- Singing & Music
- Drama (Early Years or Primary)
- Mindful Movement & Yoga
- Interactive Storytelling
Working alongside the Storybook Studios team, you'll help develop engaging lesson plans and activities. We'll provide the overall programme structure, resources, and learning objectives, and you'll bring each session to life with your enthusiasm, creativity, and ability to engage children.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality after-school enrichment sessions using Storybook Studios' lesson plans and resources.
- Prepare for each session by familiarising yourself with the lesson plan and gathering any required materials.
- Create a warm, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child feels encouraged to participate.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of different ages and abilities while maintaining the core learning objectives.
- Manage behaviour positively and ensure children's safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and school staff.
- Maintain accurate attendance registers and any required records.
- Set up and tidy away equipment before and after each session.
- Contribute ideas during planning meetings to help shape and improve future lessons.
- Represent Storybook Studios professionally and uphold our high standards of creativity, education, and care.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
