Children’s Autism Assessor – Remote
Salary: £60,000 FTE
Contract: Permanent, full-time or part-time
Hours: 28–40 hours per week
Location: Remote, UK
About the Role
Pulse Mental Health is working with an established neurodevelopmental service based in the UK who are seeking experienced clinicians to join its children’s autism assessment pathway.
You will conduct comprehensive autism assessments with children and young people, contributing to diagnostic decision-making, clinical report writing and feedback to families.
Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Current HCPC or Social Work England registration with no restrictions on practice.
- Experience working clinically with children and young people.
- 12 months experience within autism assessment and/or neurodevelopmental services.
- Training and practical experience using ADOS-2.
- Experience producing high-quality clinical reports.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own clinical workload.
- The ability to work effectively within a remote service.

Desirable Experience
- Experienced or trained in ADI-R
- Previous experience delivering assessments remotely.
- Experience working across neurodevelopmental pathways.
- Knowledge of co-occurring presentations and differential diagnosis.
- Understanding of NICE guidance surrounding autism assessment and diagnosis.
