We have an exciting opportunity for Autism Team Leader for our Child Development Psychology team to join our Child Health Department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and operational delivery of autism assessments conducted by The Autism Team as part of the Paediatric Autism Pathway at Chesterfield Royal.
The Autism Team consists of multi-disciplinary professionals which shall consist of clinical psychology, assistant psychologist, mental health nurses and speech and language therapists.
You will provide first line management and leadership to clinicians in The Autism Team ensuring that care is of the highest standard and delivered in accordance with Policies and Procedure.

Role
You will be an active, autonomous member of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist psychological services to children, adolescents, and families in North Derbyshire. Your role will include:
- Being responsible for the effective day to day operational delivery of autism assessments provided by The Autism Team.
- To be an active member of the Autism Pathway Clinical Leadership.
- To be responsible for updating the Care Unit Management Team of team work and in partnership plan to meet any gaps or issues identified in service delivery.
- To be responsible for staff development and training.
- To support the development of protocols for pathways of assessment and the assessment process.
- To provide management and leadership for The Autism Team.
