Working with the Community Children’s Nursing Team, you’ll provide specialist care and support to children and young people with a wide range of health needs, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.
You’ll work closely with families, carers, education providers and health and social care professionals to deliver personalised care in community settings and ensure children receive safe, high-quality support
What You’ll Do
- Assess, plan, deliver and review care for children and young people with acute, complex and palliative care needs
- Provide nurse-led clinics, including areas such as wound care, continence support and phlebotomy
- Work with families, schools and partner organisations to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Deliver health education and practical support to children, parents, carers and colleagues
- Safeguard children and work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to promote their wellbeing and safety

What We’re Looking For
- A Registered Nurse with current professional registration
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding and the health needs of children cared for in the community
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and professionals
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team
- A commitment to continuous learning, evidence-based practice and high-quality care
