Children's Community Nurse: Band 6 - Permanent (30 Hours)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Children’s Community Nurse to join our Children’s Community Nursing Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an autonomous practitioner, providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to children and young people with acute, chronic, complex, and palliative care needs within their own homes and community settings.

The successful candidate will work closely with Paediatric Same Day Emergency Care (PSDEC), inpatient wards, Emergency Department, General Practice, and the wider multidisciplinary team to support admission avoidance, facilitated discharge, and care closer to home.

The role also provides opportunities to contribute to service development, quality improvement, pathway redesign, and audit, supporting the continued development of integrated acute and community services.

We are looking for a confident, compassionate, and proactive nurse with excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills, who is able to work effectively under pressure and across professional and organizational boundaries.

If you are passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and developing innovative models of care closer to home, we would love to hear from you.

Role Description

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
