Children's Staff Nurse - Emergency Department

We are looking for Children's Nurses that have previously worked in an emergency setting or have ward-based skills looking to gain experience in this dynamic environment.

We are looking for motivated staff to join our friendly department. Although this is a fast-paced environment, we offer excellent learning opportunities and support to gain new skills.

There is the opportunity for this role to be cross-site with John Radcliffe Hospital and Horton General Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care for a defined caseload of patients
• Assume responsibility for individual clinical areas within the unit
• Maintain and continually develop specialist knowledge of nursing practice relevant to individual clinical area
• Contribute to the development of others through supervision, mentoring, and teaching
• Contribute toward the continuing development of professional nursing practice in the Emergency Department
• To follow trust guidance in regards to safeguarding
