Role Description

The Children’s Event Entertainer is a part-time, remote role focused on delivering engaging entertainment experiences for children’s events. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves:

  • Rehearsing scripts or show outlines
  • Managing basic costumes and props
  • Maintaining a friendly, professional presence with children and caregivers

The entertainer also coordinates with event organizers to understand event details, schedules, and performance requirements, and may assist with simple online event setup and communication.

Qualifications

  • Strong performance, acting, or storytelling skills with the ability to engage children of various ages.
  • Comfort with remote and virtual event platforms (e.g., video conferencing tools) and basic technical setup.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a clear, energetic on-camera presence.
  • Reliable time management skills and the ability to follow event schedules and instructions.
  • Experience working with children in entertainment, education, or childcare settings is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for children and families.
  • Access to a quiet performance space, stable internet connection, and suitable device for remote events.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on event needs.
