I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

During the appointment, the eye care professional will review your child’s medical history, discuss any vision concerns, and perform initial tests to assess visual acuity, eye alignment, and focusing skills.
3. Comprehensive Eye Examination
The eye exam includes a series of child-friendly tests to evaluate your child’s overall eye health and vision. These may include a visual acuity test using an eye chart, a binocular vision test to check eye coordination, and a retinal examination to assess the health of the retina and optic nerve.
4. Results and Recommendations
After the examination, the eye care professional will discuss the results with you and your child, explaining any findings in an easy-to-understand manner. If necessary, they will provide a prescription for glasses or recommend further treatment or follow-up appointments.
5. Your Child’s Clear Vision
Ensure your child enjoys optimal eye health and clear vision with a tailored plan that addresses their unique needs, supporting their learning and development.

When should my child have their first eye exam?
Your child should have their first eye exam at 6 months old, followed by another exam at age 3, and just before starting school (around age 5 or 6). Regular eye exams should continue every two years, or more frequently if recommended by the optometrist.
