Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead their children’s residential home in Northampton.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, child-focused leader to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, lead and develop the staff team, and ensure that children receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the children’s home.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child-centred care.
  • Lead, supervise and develop the staff team.
  • Ensure effective care planning, risk assessment and behaviour support.
  • Maintain compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Maintain strong Ofsted readiness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Responsible Individual, placing authorities, social workers and other professionals.
  • Promote trauma-informed and relationship-based practice, including PACE principles.
  • Ensure children’s wishes, feelings, safety and outcomes remain at the centre of practice.

About You

Our client is looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience within children’s residential care.
  • Has previous management or deputy management experience within a children’s home.
  • Has strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Holds, or is working towards/eligible to undertake, the relevant Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification for Residential Childcare.
  • Is confident leading, supervising and developing a residential care team.
  • Can demonstrate strong safeguarding, risk-management and decision-making skills.
  • Is organised, resilient and able to provide calm and effective leadership.
  • Has a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager is highly desirable.

Hours: 40 per week, with flexibility and on-call responsibilities
