About New Start Living
At New Start Living, our homes are more than just places to live - they are safe, nurturing environments where children feel valued, understood, and supported.
We build strong, trusting relationships and create stable homes where young people can grow in confidence, develop independence, and shape their future.
Our culture is built on warmth, respect, and teamwork. We support one another, celebrate individuality, and work together to provide the highest standard of care.
We also value our staff. Through our in-house programmes including our Wishing Well scheme for support and senior staff, we recognise and reward the dedication of our teams. As a manager, you’ll benefit from performance-based incentives and a yearly bonus linked to positive Ofsted outcomes and home objectives.
The Role
We are looking for a strong, compassionate leader to oversee the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
