Are you a Life Changer? Do you want to lean in and transform the life of a child?
Compass Community puts children first through our therapeutic, innovative approach. Integrity, Courage and Care shape how we work. We listen deeply, challenge each other and fixing what needs fixing, together.
This is the work. And we’d like you to be part of it.
Role Overview
This Registered Manager opportunity offers a competitive base salary of £51,731 - £59,606, the opportunity to earn up to £16,000 in annual bonuses, and a £5,000 relocation package for those willing to move for the role.
More importantly, this is an opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of four remarkable young people. This 4-bedded Learning Disabilities home supports two sets of twins, with the younger children aged 8 and the older young people aged 17, all of whom are engaged in education and supported to achieve their own individual goals and aspirations.
The children have a range of needs, including Autism and Global Developmental Delay, with three communicating non-verbally. Every day is about understanding each child's unique way of experiencing the world, celebrating their progress and ensuring they have every opportunity to develop confidence, independence and meaningful life experiences.
As Registered Manager, you'll lead a highly experienced and settled team who are passionate about providing consistency, stability and exceptional care. Together, you'll create a home where children feel safe, valued and understood, helping them to build trusting relationships, celebrate achievements and create positive memories that will stay with them for years to come.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
