Role Overview
This role offers an exciting opportunity for either a newly qualified Occupational Therapist looking to start their career in paediatrics, or an existing Band 5 OT with a passion for working with children and young people and developing specialist skills within a supportive team.
About the Role
Based in the well-equipped Children's Centre at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, you will join a small, experienced and welcoming multidisciplinary team of Specialist Children's Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Assistant Practitioners. Together, we deliver high-quality, child-centred care that makes a real difference to children, young people and their families.
You'll benefit from a varied and rewarding caseload, supporting children and young people with a range of short and long-term conditions across clinic, community and educational settings. We are committed to helping our staff thrive and offer a comprehensive AHP Preceptorship Programme, regular clinical supervision, in-service training and ongoing professional development opportunities to support your growth and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a diverse caseload, carrying out assessments, developing and delivering intervention plans, and evaluating outcomes, while working closely with colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to innovative ways of delivering care, including face-to-face and online workshops, coaching groups, and service development initiatives.
- Support children and families to achieve their goals and maximise independence in everyday activities.
