We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the Ysbyty Gwynedd Acute Paediatrics Department Reception. This is a part-time post which covers a range of administrative tasks to aid the continuity of an extremely busy service to our patients/carers and other professional colleagues. Previous reception and customer service experience is essential. You will also have knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel. The ability to prioritize your work and be highly organized is paramount to this post, as is excellent interpersonal skills, which includes a friendly telephone manner, whilst providing a professional, sensitive manner and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.
The working pattern will be 8:45 - 16:45 every Thursday and Friday.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a professional and efficient reception service within the Children's Outpatient area, ensuring that all patients and visitors are welcomed to the department in an appropriate manner. By the nature of the duties, the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff, and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE Level A-C
- The ability to speak Welsh to level 3
Desirable criteria
- NVQ2 Admin/Customer Service
- ECDL
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous Customer Service/Receptionist experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience in all office procedures within an NHS environment
- Knowledge of WPAS
Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria
- Familiar with word package and the use of Outlook
- Able to work to deadlines
- Able to communicate with all staff groups, patients, and families
