Role Description
The Children’s Registered Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and quality of a children’s care service in Bolton. This full-time, on-site role involves:
- Overseeing daily operations
- Ensuring safe and consistent care
- Maintaining compliance with relevant UK regulations and standards

Key tasks include:


Get help with your application

- Supervising and supporting staff
- Developing care plans
- Monitoring outcomes for children
- Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are robust and consistently followed
The manager will:
- Liaise with external agencies
- Manage budgets and resources
- Lead service improvement initiatives based on audits, feedback, and regulatory requirements
Additionally, the role includes:
- Maintaining accurate records
- Preparing for inspections
- Fostering a positive, child-centered culture within the service
Qualifications
- Experience in managing or supervising children’s residential or care services, with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Sound knowledge of UK children’s social care regulations, safeguarding practices, and relevant statutory guidance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with children, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with competence in reporting, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Relevant professional qualification in social care, nursing, education, or a related field (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent).
- Demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and child-centered practice.
- Ability to work on-site in Bolton, with flexibility to respond to service needs, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) and eligibility to work in the UK.
