Brand New 2-Bed Activity Based Therapeutic Home Opening in Shropshire

We are excited to be opening a brand-new 2-bed Response Home in Shropshire and are looking for compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Children's Residential Care Workers.

Whether you already have experience working with children or are looking to start a rewarding career in residential childcare, we provide the training, support, and development opportunities you need to succeed.

Salary - Up to £34,320 per year (including sleep-ins)
Location - Shropshire
Contract - Full-Time and Part Time Permanent positions
Working Pattern - 2 on, 3 off rota including sleep-ins

About New Reflexions

New Reflexions provides specialist care, education, and therapeutic services for children and young people who have experienced trauma, adversity, and disruption in their lives.

Our new Response Home will provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people requiring short-term residential support. Working alongside a dedicated team and clinical professionals, you will help children build confidence, develop resilience, and experience positive, meaningful relationships.

The Role

  • Build meaningful, trusting relationships with young people and provide consistent, therapeutic support.
  • Help children feel safe, valued, and empowered during times of uncertainty and transition.
  • Deliver activity-based experiences that promote confidence, resilience, emotional wellbeing, and personal achievement.
  • Support and participate in outdoor adventures such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, team challenges, and other enriching activities.
  • Encourage young people to develop life skills, independence, emotional regulation, and positive coping strategies.
  • Maintain clear records and contribute to reports, risk assessments, and care planning.
  • Work collaboratively with families, social workers, education professionals, therapists, and colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for each child.
  • Be part of a small, dedicated team working a 2 on / 4 off rota including sleep-ins.
  • No two days are ever the same, making this a varied and rewarding role where you can genuinely change lives.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking people who are:

  • Flexible and able to work a residential rota pattern.
  • Committed to learning and professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to work sleep-ins and a rotating shift pattern.
  • Passion for supporting children and young people.

Experience

No previous residential childcare experience is required. We provide a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications.
