At Esland, we provide specialist trauma-informed care for children and young people aged 8 to 18 who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and complex trauma. Through patience, understanding, and therapeutic support, our teams create environments where young people can feel secure, develop confidence, and begin to thrive.
We are currently seeking a full-time Children's Support Worker to join our highly valued team at our solo home in Warrington.
About the role
You'll be part of a small, close-knit, and supportive team. Your duties will include:
- Supporting your young person with emotional regulation, daily routines, and personal development
- Keeping detailed records and promoting safeguarding at all times
- Supporting your young person with fun activities, their personal interests, education access and engagement, and household responsibilities

Estimated salary based on a pay rate of £13.45 to £13.75 per hour (days) and working 8 sleep nights per month on average, at £60 per sleep night.
What we're looking for
Experience within care, education, mental health support, and/or youth activities is highly desirable, but we equally value transferrable skills and the right personality traits for the role.
What we definitely need
- A full driving licence issued in the UK
- Applicants with full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
- A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach
- The ability to recognize the tough days matter just as much as the good days
- A commitment to working 48-hour shifts, including sleep-ins (paid), followed by a 4-day break (we are a 365 service offering structured shifts, paid bank holidays, and opportunities for overtime)
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential)
