Residential Support Workers – Children’s Learning Disabilities Home
We are currently recruiting experienced and qualified Residential Support Workers to join our team within a children’s residential home supporting young people with Learning Disabilities (LD).
Our home provides care and support for children and young people aged 7 to 17 years at the point of admission.
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated, passionate, and committed individuals who have the skills and experience to provide high-quality, child-centred care.
Experience of working within Learning Disabilities (LD) or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) residential settings would be a strong advantage.
Applicants should ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
We particularly welcome candidates who are confident in using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches when supporting children and young people with complex needs.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have a full and checkable employment/work history, with satisfactory references available.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service.
- Hold, or be working towards where appropriate, a relevant Level 3 NVQ/Diploma qualification.
- Be able to demonstrate relevant experience of supporting children and young people. Experience within an LD or EBD residential setting is highly desirable.

- Passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Caring, compassionate, reliable and professional.
- Experienced in supporting children with Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
- Able to work effectively and positively as part of a team.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Skilled in building trusting and supportive relationships with children.
- Able to provide consistent, nurturing and trauma-informed care.
- Committed to promoting independence, dignity, choice and individual development.
- Flexible and willing to work as part of a residential care rota, including evenings, weekends and other shifts as required.
