Residential Support Worker – Children’s Services - Tranent, East Lothian (EH33)
Pay: £15.07–£16.68 per hour (including holiday pay)
Flexible shifts | part-time and full-time hours

Your role
You’ll work in a Residential Care Setting, supporting children with day-to-day life, emotional well-being, and general mentorship and support. You’ll
- Build positive relationships based on trust and respect
- Encourage independence and daily routines
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Be a steady, caring presence — someone they can count on
What we’re looking for
- 6+ months of full-time care experience (in the last 3 years)
- At least 3 months’ experience working with children or young people (in the last 3 years)
- Registration: Applicants in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland will require the relevant registration (e.g., SSSC, SCW, NISSC). Not applicable in England.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Qualities: Empathy, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork and the ability to deliver exceptional care
