Team Leader - Children's Residential Care
Arborvitae Care Services is a growing and ambitious children's residential care provider, proudly rated Good by Ofsted. We are committed to creating safe, nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive, achieve positive outcomes, and build brighter futures.
We are looking for a Team Leader who shares our passion for making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people and is ready to take the next step in their residential childcare career.
The Role
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of one of our children's homes, leading by example and supporting the settings to deliver outstanding care. You will support, motivate and develop residential staff, ensuring children receive high quality, child centred care in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. You will champion safeguarding, promote positive outcomes, and help create a home where young people feel respected, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the effective day to day operation of the homes.
- Lead, motivate and mentor Residential Support Workers.
- Ensure the home operates in line with safeguarding procedures, regulations and company policies.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
- Build positive relationships with professionals, families and stakeholders.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and placement reviews.

What You'll Need
- Previous experience as a Team Leader within a children's residential setting (desirable).
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent qualification (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding, childcare legislation and children's home regulations.
- Experience supervising staff and supporting team development.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
