We're looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our vibrant and dedicated team at Brambles, an eight-bed residential home supporting children with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex needs.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide outstanding support to children with complex needs
- Lead by example on shift and support the day-to-day running of the home
- Coach, mentor, and supervise Support Workers
- Support with care planning, audits, and quality assurance activities
- Administer and oversee medication safely
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity in everything you do
- Work closely with therapists, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment where people can flourish
- Support children to enjoy social activities, hobbies, and community experiences
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:
- Experience working within residential childcare, social care, or specialist care services
- Previous experience supervising, coaching, or line managing care staff
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with disabilities and complex needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred care, and effective team leadership
- The ability to remain calm, positive, and solution-focused in a dynamic environment
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience within a care or support environment
- Experience supporting people with complex needs, disabilities, or additional needs
- NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good IT and record-keeping skills
- A positive, resilient, and caring nature

We will pay for your initial DBS check, unless you have a portable DBS, however, if the candidate leaves voluntarily within the first 12 months, £58.90 will be deducted from your final salary payment.
