Are you an experienced social care professional with a passion for leading teams and creating positive outcomes for children and young people?

We're looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our vibrant and dedicated team at Brambles, an eight-bed residential home supporting children with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide outstanding support to children with complex needs
  • Lead by example on shift and support the day-to-day running of the home
  • Coach, mentor, and supervise Support Workers
  • Support with care planning, audits, and quality assurance activities
  • Administer and oversee medication safely
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity in everything you do
  • Work closely with therapists, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment where people can flourish
  • Support children to enjoy social activities, hobbies, and community experiences

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • Experience working within residential childcare, social care, or specialist care services
  • Previous experience supervising, coaching, or line managing care staff
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with disabilities and complex needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred care, and effective team leadership
  • The ability to remain calm, positive, and solution-focused in a dynamic environment

Ideally you'll have:

  • Previous experience within a care or support environment
  • Experience supporting people with complex needs, disabilities, or additional needs
  • NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good IT and record-keeping skills
  • A positive, resilient, and caring nature
