Job Overview

Ealing Community Partners has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated SLT to join a team of Paediatric SLT Clinical Leads, working with the Children’s Services Manager to manage a large, diverse and dynamic Paediatric SLT service. This team is part of Ealing Children's Services which hosts most of the community health services for the borough. The post holder will join the leadership team and also work closely with our partners in the voluntary, education and social care sectors.

This post is a permanent position and would suit a progressive clinician who would like to further develop their leadership and management experience within a supportive team.

The post holder will work together with the other SLT Clinical Service leads to develop the three strands of the service:-

  • Core (health funded initial/EHCP assessment, dysphagia pathways and universal/targeted offer)
  • Buy in (working in mainstream schools at a universal, targeted and/or specialist level and SLT provision in EHCPs in special schools)
  • Local Authority contract (universal, tribunal and SLT provision in EHCPs in mainstream schools).

Ealing Paediatric SLT Service sits within Ealing Community Partners which was created in 2019 and hosted by West London NHS Trust in partnership with CNWL NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will be involved in ongoing service transformation including the review of a revised core service offer and the commencement of a new Local Authority contract.

You will be part of an innovative and forward-thinking department who are committed to putting research into practice to improve patient outcomes. This post will be an ideal opportunity for a speech and language therapist looking to develop their leadership skills in paediatric speech and language therapy who also has values that align with those of our organisation and is passionate about making a difference to children and young people.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
