The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team
The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team is excited to be seeking Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists to join us!
We currently have a range of Band 5 roles available within our team, being offered on permanent as well as fixed-term contracts.

We are a friendly and supportive team that deliver a variety of clinical Speech and Language Therapy Services across BNSSG. We offer regular training and CPD opportunities to our staff, a buddy system for new starters, regular line management and a regular meeting structure. Opportunity to provide both assessment and therapy for a wide range of clinical presentations.
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Therapists. We provide the support required to work through and complete your RCSLT competencies.
Opportunities Available
We have a 0.6 WTE permanent post available working in Early Years clinics across South Gloucestershire. In addition to this we also have up to 0.6 WTE available on fixed-term contracts working within the School-Age SLT team in South Gloucestershire and the Early Years Complex Needs team across Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities
- To offer assessment and interventions for child or young person within specified area of clinical needs.
- To identify needs and work towards chosen outcomes as they relate to activities of daily life. This may include the individual’s educational, leisure, self-care, social communication, speech and language and motor needs and the management of the individual’s physical disability.
- To carry own caseload within specified clinical area
- To provide a safe, client centred, effective and evidence based therapy service in the community setting
You will work within the Children’s Service to deliver clinical activities, supported by a robust competency framework, to children within both clinic environments and schools.
