Position: Children's Support Worker

Location: Bexhill-on-Sea

Hours:

  • Part-time during term time, Full-time during non-term time

Shifts:

  • Term time: Tuesdays and Thursdays (3.30pm-6.30pm) and Saturdays (10am-2pm) 10 hours a week
  • Non term time: Monday-Saturday (10am-4pm) 36 hours a week

About the Role:

We're looking for a Support Worker to support our young client in Bexhill-on-Sea. Our client has needs such as autism and challenging behavior. This role offers a unique opportunity to help our young client thrive both at home and in the community. All of the shifts are double up shifts (two support workers on shift together).

We require a candidate that holds a full UK drivers licence to be able to drive the client's vehicle, to enable him to access the community.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the client with personal care, medication, and daily activities.
  • Provide guidance in managing challenging behaviors and build a trusting, positive rapport.
  • Drive the client to exciting community outings.
  • Work alongside another support worker during each shift for team-based support.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay: Up to £16 per hour (depending on experience) - you'll also receive an additional 14.07% holiday pay on every hour worked.

In this role, you'll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
