CHILDREN’S WORKER
Over recent years, we’ve seen encouraging growth in the number of children and young families connecting with us, both on Sundays and through our midweek activities. We believe there is a wonderful opportunity to build on this and are looking for a full-time Children’s Worker to join our team and help shape where our children’s ministry goes next.
St Gabriel’s is a warm, friendly and growing charismatic evangelical Anglican church in the heart of Greystones, Sheffield. We want to be a church where people of all ages encounter Jesus, grow as disciples and share the good news with those around us.
We’re looking for someone who loves Jesus, has a genuine passion for children and families, and can bring energy, creativity and fresh ideas to help us develop a sustainable, intentional and mission-focused children’s ministry where children can encounter Jesus, grow in faith and be encouraged to live as His disciples.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
