Commercial Chiller Engineer (Field Based) – South East England – London / Andover / Rochester – £47,000–£52,000 + Overtime

Home/field-based, covering the South East of England, with access to either the Andover or Rochester depot

Company Overview
Our client is an established name in temporary plant hire, providing specialist heating and cooling solutions to commercial and industrial customers across the UK. They are looking for an experienced Chiller Engineer to join their service team, working on the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of temporary chiller equipment across the South East.
The Role
This is a hands-on field service role involving the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of temporary chiller units at customer sites. You'll attend planned installations and service visits as well as responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and getting equipment back into service as quickly as possible.

- Assist with boiler installations during the winter season
- Install AC units when required
- Practical problem-solving on customer sites
- Adapting to different equipment, site conditions and customer requirements
When you're not attending field-based jobs, you'll work with the depot team to maintain van stock, order parts and ensure the equipment and stores are ready for upcoming work.
There is also scope to contribute to the development of new products and improvements to service operations, while maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance at all times.
What You'll Bring
- At least 3 years' experience working on commercial chillers
- Current F-Gas qualification
- Full UK driving licence and CSCS card
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organizational abilities
- Confidence to work independently at customer sites
- Methodical approach, good IT skills and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety requirements

Advantageous (but not essential)
- Previous experience in the HVAC hire industry
- Electrical qualification
- MOD clearance and site experience
You'll be flexible, reliable and customer-focused, with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider service team.
