About the team
United Kingdom & Ireland (UK&I) is the largest market for Deliveroo and is at the forefront of strategic, commercial and operational innovation. Our partner-facing commercial teams present one of the biggest growth opportunities available to Deliveroo and we are building a team of commercially savvy, entrepreneurial and ambitious individuals to help us fulfil our partners potential in key categories.
About the role
We are looking for a Client Partner to join our UKI Commercial team in the Chinese Category. Reporting to the Head of Chinese Category, this is an exciting opportunity to drive the growth of Chinese restaurants across UKI.
You will manage a team of Commercial Account Managers and Business Development Managers who manage and sign the highest performing Chinese restaurants around the UK and Ireland. One position will focus on Core and Greater London, the other on the regions outside of London. The role will be commercially focused and require cross-functional collaboration with different teams across the Deliveroo business (e.g. Regional Managers, Sales, Finance and Marketing) to ensure the Chinese Category is performing to its best.
What you'll be doing
- Category Leadership: working not just with your direct team, but with regional commercial teams across UK & Ireland, technology, marketing and partnerships to maximise and grow the Category.
- Line management: managing a direct team of Chinese sales and commercial account managers based mainly in London, but also in our key strategic regional locations.
- Portfolio management: you’ll own the relationship with some of our biggest partners, helping them grow their business, in order to grow ours.
- Commercial Acumen: lead your commercial team to negotiate effectively with restaurants to achieve the best outcomes for Deliveroo and grow the partners business.
- Role Model: A leader within the team, you will be responsible for driving up sales and commercial performance across the Category including role modelling best-in-class behaviours, managing commercial managers supporting them to hit team targets and grow their portfolios.
- Delivering programmes: as a leader in our business, you’ll lead the delivery and performance of large commercial programmes by working across regional, commercial and project teams based in and out of Head Office.
- Tasting: Sample food from a variety of high quality establishments and attend restaurant and food meet ups. Enjoy the restaurant scene and have a passion for all the different aspects of Chinese cuisine.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
