I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The opportunity
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and dependable Chinese Senior Consultant who is ready to take ownership of projects and workstreams while continuing to develop as a communications professional.
You'll work across PR, Chinese social media, influencer marketing, content and events, while building trusted relationships with clients, media, influencers and business partners.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be given a list of tasks to complete. We want someone who is curious about our clients' businesses, understands why we're doing the work, contributes ideas and increasingly becomes someone clients and colleagues can rely on.
You'll also have the opportunity to support and guide junior colleagues as you progress.
What you'll be doing
Client & project management
- Independently manage smaller client accounts, projects and workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong organisation and measurable results
- Build trusted relationships with clients through professionalism, responsiveness and sound judgement
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, commercial objectives and target audiences
- Present ideas and recommendations confidently to clients and colleagues
Chinese PR & content
- Develop and draft Chinese press releases, articles, social content, presentations and other campaign materials
- Build relationships with relevant Chinese media and support media outreach
- Ensure Chinese-language communications are culturally relevant, persuasive and written to a consistently high standard
- Use AI intelligently as a professional tool while retaining strong independent writing, editing and critical-thinking skills

Experience with Xiumi, Canva, CapCut, visual content production and AI tools would be an advantage, but we don't expect one person to be brilliant at everything.
