Role Availability
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated CHIS Support Manager to lead and coordinate the administrative functions of the Child Health Information Service (CHIS).
As a Band 5 administrator, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the delivery of efficient, effective and patient-focused administrative support. You will design, develop and maintain systems and processes that support the patient journey, improve service delivery and reduce duplication and waste.
Responsibilities
- Lead and line manage a team of administrative staff, ensuring high standards of performance, quality and customer service.
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders, monitor performance, support service improvements and ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Provides specialised support to senior management or a client group in a specific discipline or area of expertise. In some roles this may include delivering training in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis to support people to use systems or understand processes.
- Determines the scope, systems and processes for the provision of locality/directorate activity and oversees the co-ordination of information or activity. Ensures that the team resources are developed and used effectively to maximum capacity ensuring potential efficiencies are identified.
- Develops and maintains business process systems including plans, risk registers, statutory returns, performance and quality tools. Looks at data across the locality/directorate and analyses information to assess trends and patterns, makes predictions and provides reports to help senior management or the client group manage performance and plan for the future.
- Develops and monitors Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the administrative services across the locality/directorate acting as the specialist in this area and adapting and changing these as services evolve in line with external commissioning/national guidance.
