Description
Christmas at Silverstone (previously Lap of Lights) is the UK’s most spectacular festive experience, and it’s back bigger than ever. The only place in the world where you can drive the home of the British Grand Prix by night, and experience Santa's Garage, karting, curling, festive dining. An experience the family will love long after Christmas is over!
The Christmas Elves are responsible for bringing festive cheer to the thousands of visitors who attend Christmas at Silverstone. Working as part of a high-energy entertainment team, you'll help create a joyful atmosphere by interacting with the public, assisting Santa, guiding families through festive attractions, supporting with the festive spirit on Lap of Lights and ensuring everyone has a safe, memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities
The Christmas Elves are responsible for helping to create a magical experience for families throughout the Christmas at Silverstone experience. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Be the definition of Christmas spirit by greeting and engaging with the public in a fun, happy and festive manner
- Support in the management of queues and public flow in entertainment areas, including ticket checking where required
- Provide information, directions and answer questions from the public
- Support in the delivery of Santa’s Garage, the Lap of Lights and other festival entertainment areas
- Resetting areas throughout and at end of your shift (including sweeping floors and restocking activity stations)
- You must feel confident in reporting any incidents, accidents, challenges or concerns within the reporting process
- Staying in character at all times, you will be representing not only Silverstone but the magic of Christmas throughout your time with us so remaining in character is essential

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Enthusiastic, friendly and great with children
- Comfortable in costume and performing in character
- Comfortable working outside during winter months
- Available evenings, weekends and over the festive period
- Previous customer service and performance experience is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable working close to strobe lighting
Availability
- Dates: Thursday 10th December to Thursday 31st December 2026 (shift work)
- Times: 13:00 – 22:00 (subject to change)
