Exciting Opportunity for a Band 6 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Specialist Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated Band 6 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Specialist Nurse to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking renal team.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced renal nurse with excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach and a genuine interest in long-term condition management, patient education, and service development. You will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting patients with advanced kidney disease, helping them understand their condition, manage symptoms, and make informed decisions about their treatment and future care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload and develop specialist expertise in kidney replacement therapy education, anaemia management, hepatitis B vaccination clinics, and nurse-led patient support.
- Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Run nurse-led clinics, provide kidney replacement therapy education, support anaemia management, and participate in hepatitis B vaccination clinics.
- Review pathology results, coordinate investigations, monitor treatment effectiveness, and act as a key point of contact for patients and their families.
