St Andrew’s Church in Chesterton, North Cambridge, is recruiting a part-time paid Church Administrator – with flexible weekly hours in a supportive team.
The role is for 7-8 hours per week, and permanent (after a probationary period of 3 months). The St Andrew’s PCC is keen to find the right candidate and so is open to finding an effective pattern for teamwork across the week, school terms and school holidays. Ideally hours will be worked over 2 or 3 days, combining homeworking and time in St Andrew’s Hall Office, including some hours on a Friday (for negotiation).
The Church Administrator will enable and enhance the shared life of St Andrew’s Chesterton as a church community by providing administrative and communications support for ministry and mission in the parish. The role combines administrative tasks that:

- Support regular Sunday worship and some life events ministry (baptisms & weddings); and
- Improve communication and community-building within and beyond our congregation through written, visual and social media communication.
The role could suit an existing part-time administrator, someone with proven experience in this kind of role seeking additional hours or a return to work, or someone with wider communications and admin skills drawn to working in a friendly, supportive charity and community context.

Salary: £14.72 per hour (£28,704 Full Time Equivalent with the opportunity to join our employer pension scheme).
