About us:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a Supplier Chain Intern. The role sits within the Procurement and Supply Chain Department, supporting the Connected Intelligence in Airbus Defence and Space.
The Connected Intelligence team at Airbus Defence and Space uses satellite data and digital technology to solve global security and logistics challenges. For a business or supply chain student, this is a unique chance to see how large technology projects are managed, from sourcing cutting-edge software to optimizing international vendor networks. You will gain hands-on experience in project management, contract analysis, and procurement operations that keep critical defense and space programs running smoothly and on schedule.
Join a diverse team supporting Space Digital Supply Chain. The team is based over 2 sites in the UK and others in France and Germany. We are known for being adaptive in our approach, supporting a customer-centric team. We ensure our industrial supply base performs at the highest standard so our customers have communication systems they can rely on when everything else fails.

What you will be doing:
As a successful candidate, you will work transversally across the business to drive supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. Rather than managing daily transactions, you will focus on strategic oversight, data reporting, and improvement programmes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performance Reporting: Consolidate, analyse, and present key Supplier Quality metrics (KPIs) to monitor delivery and quality standards;
- Improvement Programmes: Support transversal projects aimed at improving supplier capabilities, mitigating supply chain risks, and solving recurring quality issues;
- Process Optimisation: Help standardise and simplify quality assurance processes and reporting tools across our multi-site UK and European teams.
This is an exciting first role to start your career. It will give you deep exposure to international supply chain governance, data analytics, and operational excellence in a supportive, diverse team.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Studying towards a Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent degree.
- Strong analytical skills with an interest in data reporting and performance metrics.
- A proactive mindset and readiness to learn by doing.

This Job Request will be allocated to the projected Joint-Venture scope towards a leading European player in space.
Security Clearance: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
