An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse
We are a busy 18-bedded unit caring for Level 2 patients across all surgical specialties, including polytrauma. This is a fast-paced environment that is continually evolving and developing to meet the needs of our patients and the wider service.
This is a particularly exciting time to join the team as we embark on an ongoing service redesign programme. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the service, influencing new ways of working and helping to drive improvements in patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Genuine interest in Surgical HDU and polytrauma nursing.
- Experience with infusion devices, invasive lines, and monitoring patients in an acute setting would be advantageous.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, is essential.
Requirements
- Leadership potential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to motivate both themselves and others.
Working Hours
The post involves day and night rotation working 12-hour shifts, and part-time hours would be considered. Current UK NMC registration is essential.
