Role: Cigar Registry Research and Content Associate
Vitolier is building a comprehensive global registry and discovery platform for the cigar community. We are looking for a freelance researcher to help expand and maintain information across Brands, Cigar Lines, Cigars, Reviews, News and Events.
Role Description
The Cigar Registry Research and Content Associate role involves researching global premium cigar brands, vitolas, producers, and markets to support and expand Vitolier’s registry-grade data. The associate will create clear, accurate, and engaging written content for product entries, discovery tools, guides, and community resources, ensuring consistency with platform standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Research cigar information using official brand websites and reputable independent sources
- Add and update Brands, Cigar Lines, and individual Cigars
- Record blends, vitolas, dimensions, origin, strength, manufacturer, release year, and production status
- Research professional reviews, ratings, news, and cigar events
- Provide a reliable source URL for every material data point
- Identify duplicate, incomplete, or conflicting records
- Write short, original summaries without copying source content
- Follow Vitolier’s data structure, naming, and quality standards
- Refer uncertain information for review rather than making assumptions
Candidate Requirements
- Strong research and fact-checking skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, or content management systems
- Clear written English
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed targets
- Knowledge of premium cigars is highly desirable
- Spanish language research capability would be an advantage

Working Arrangement
- Remote freelance or contract role
- Flexible hours with agreed weekly targets
- Potential for ongoing work
- Payment based on experience, accuracy, and output
Applications should include relevant experience, knowledge of cigars, weekly availability, expected rate, and examples of similar research or data work. Quality and accuracy will be prioritized over the number of records entered.
