Cin7 WMS Specialist
Location: Onsite – UK - Darwen
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
This role requires previous hands-on experience with Cin7 WMS. Candidates without direct Cin7 experience will not be considered.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cin7 WMS Specialist to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day operation and support of our Cin7 warehouse management system. As we continue to operate and develop our warehouse through Cin7, we require a dedicated onsite specialist who can quickly identify, troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues and ensure the warehouse team can continue operating efficiently.
The successful candidate will have strong practical knowledge of Cin7 WMS, understand warehouse and inventory processes, and be comfortable working directly with warehouse staff, management and external Cin7 support when required. This is a hands-on role and will suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and being the person the business can rely on when issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the onsite subject-matter expert for Cin7 WMS.
- Provide day-to-day support to warehouse and operational teams using Cin7.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Cin7 system issues, errors and operational problems.
- Identify whether issues are caused by system configuration, user processes, integrations or data.
- Liaise directly with Cin7 support where issues require escalation.
- Monitor outstanding system issues and ensure they are followed through to resolution.
- Support users with Cin7 processes, functionality and best practices.
- Assist with stock management, inventory accuracy, order processing, purchasing, goods-in, goods-out and other warehouse processes within Cin7.
- Investigate discrepancies between Cin7 records and physical warehouse stock.
- Support the implementation of new Cin7 functionality, processes and system improvements.
- Identify recurring problems and recommend practical solutions to prevent them from happening again.
- Maintain appropriate system documentation and internal procedures.
- Train and support new and existing warehouse staff on Cin7.
- Work closely with warehouse management to ensure Cin7 supports the operational requirements of the business.
- Assist with system testing when changes, updates or new processes are introduced.
- Support data integrity and ensure information within Cin7 is accurate and maintained correctly.
- Provide management with updates on significant system issues, recurring problems and required improvements.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience with Cin7 WMS.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management and inventory processes.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving Cin7-related operational issues.
- Previous experience working as a Cin7 administrator, specialist, super-user or WMS specialist would be highly desirable.
- Good understanding of stock control, inventory movements and warehouse processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working directly with warehouse and operational teams.
- Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Confident liaising with external software providers and support teams.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of issues through to resolution.

Desirable Experience
- Experience with Cin7 Core / Cin7 Omni or the specific Cin7 platform used by the business.
- Experience with warehouse integrations, scanners, inventory systems or related software.
- Experience supporting system implementations or go-live environments.
- Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience identifying and improving WMS processes.
The Person
We are looking for someone who can become the internal go-to person for Cin7. You should be practical, proactive and comfortable getting involved when something isn't working. Rather than simply logging issues with Cin7 support, you will be expected to understand the problem, investigate it, find solutions where possible and manage the issue through to resolution. This is particularly important as the system continues to develop following its implementation, so the ability to deal with ongoing issues, support users and improve processes will be a key part of the role.
