About the job you're considering

Capgemini UK is seeking an exceptional leader to join as a Presales Director within Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS). In this senior role, you will lead the strategic direction and growth of CIS services across one or more industry sectors in the UK. These deals may span multiple technology domains including Cloud and Infrastructure Transformation, Platform Engineering, End User Experience/Digital Workplace, Enterprise Service Management, Data Centre & Infrastructure Services and Cybersecurity. In addition, the role will act as an AI value champion, working across technology domains to identify, orchestrate and position AI capabilities that create measurable business outcomes for clients.

Orchestrating deals, solutions and capabilities from across Capgemini, our alliance partners and the wider Group, this role requires a C-suite influencer with proven experience in proactive deal shaping, strategic pursuit leadership, executive presentations and complex transformation programmes. The successful candidate will partner with industry and account teams to translate technology capabilities into business value propositions that resonate with client priorities.

Whilst experience within Consumer Products and Retail is desirable and beneficial, the role is not exclusively focused on CPR. Candidates may bring experience from any major sector including Financial Services, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Utilities, Transport, Telecommunications or Retail, with the ability to understand sector challenges and connect technology and AI-enabled transformation to business outcomes.

Your Role

  • Grow the CIS business in alignment with UK strategic growth ambitions through proactive opportunity identification, deal origination and pursuit shaping.
  • Understand client business priorities and develop value-led propositions working closely with Industry, Account and Portfolio teams.
  • Build and maintain CxO-level relationships with clients, partners and advisors.
  • Develop relationships across all parts of Capgemini to bring the best of the Group to client opportunities.
  • Lead strategic pursuits and shape complex solutions spanning Cloud, Workplace, Infrastructure, Service Management and Cybersecurity.
  • Act as an AI Offering Orchestrator by identifying AI building blocks across CIS technology domains and translating them into differentiated client value propositions.
  • Work with sector teams to map AI capabilities to industry-specific business outcomes including productivity, resilience, customer experience, operational efficiency and growth.
  • Shape AI-infused propositions by combining capabilities across cloud, workplace, service management, cyber and infrastructure portfolios.
  • Provide executive-level AI thought leadership and help position Capgemini as a trusted advisor in AI-enabled business transformation.
  • Develop value-based sales propositions, competitive strategies and financially robust solution approaches.

Success will be measured through contribution to CIS brand growth, active pipeline development, strategic deal shaping, AI proposition development, C-suite engagement, market-facing thought leadership, proposition quality, people empowerment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
