Cisco CURWB / Fluidmesh Network Architect & Deployment Engineer
Location: UK (Hybrid)
Duration: Initial 3 months, with potential extension to 12+ months
Engagement: Contract

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Cisco CURWB (Connected Ultra-Reliable Wireless Broadband) / Fluidmesh specialists to support the design, deployment, configuration, testing, and handover of a mission-critical wireless network for a major UK gigafactory deployment. The solution was historically known as Fluidmesh before its acquisition by Cisco and subsequent integration into the Cisco CURWB portfolio.
The successful candidate(s) will work as a technical design and deployment resource, responsible for taking the solution from High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) through on-site configuration, testing, validation, and post-installation hypercare.
This is a hands-on technical role and requires demonstrable experience deploying and troubleshooting CURWB / Fluidmesh wireless infrastructure, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, transportation, utilities, mining, logistics, or other large-scale operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design
- Develop and review High-Level Design (HLD) documentation for the CURWB wireless solution.
- Produce detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, including:
- Network topology
- Wireless topology
- Device configuration
- IP addressing
- VLANs
- Routing
- QoS
- Redundancy/resiliency
- RF/channel planning
- Link design and capacity
- Translate business and operational requirements into a robust technical solution.
- Review existing network infrastructure and determine integration requirements.

CURWB / Fluidmesh Deployment
- Configure and commission Cisco CURWB / legacy Fluidmesh devices.
- Perform on-site logical configuration and fine-tuning of wireless equipment.
- Configure wireless links, mesh/backhaul connectivity, redundancy, and failover mechanisms.
- Optimize wireless performance and link reliability.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, throughput, latency, RF interference, and stability issues.
- Work alongside physical installation teams to ensure equipment is correctly integrated and configured.
Testing & Validation
- Develop and execute deployment and commissioning test plans.
- Perform connectivity, performance, redundancy, and failover testing.
- Validate wireless coverage and link performance.
- Troubleshoot issues identified during commissioning.
- Document test results and remedial actions.
- Support customer acceptance testing.
Hypercare & Handover
- Provide post-installation technical support and hypercare for up to 12 weeks.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the deployed environment.
- Resolve configuration and performance issues.
- Produce as-built documentation.
- Provide operational knowledge transfer to the Agratas technical team.
- Support final handover of the solution into BAU operations.
Required Technical Experience
Essential
- Hands-on Cisco CURWB / Fluidmesh experience.
- Previous experience designing and deploying Fluidmesh / Cisco CURWB wireless networks.
- Strong understanding of industrial wireless networking and wireless backhaul technologies.
- Experience producing both HLD and LLD documentation.
- Experience configuring and commissioning network devices in live/industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- IP networking
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
- Routing
- QoS
- Multicast
- Network redundancy
- Network monitoring
- Wireless RF fundamentals
- Experience with network testing, validation and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working on-site during installation and commissioning activities.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work directly with customer technical teams and other delivery partners.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, battery manufacturing, logistics, transportation, utilities, mining, or other industrial environments.
- Experience working in large-scale greenfield deployments.
- Experience with industrial IoT / OT networks.
- Experience integrating wireless infrastructure with Cisco enterprise networking.
- Experience with CCTV/video, AGVs/AMRs, industrial automation or other high-bandwidth/low-latency applications.
- Cisco networking certifications such as CCNP/CCNA are advantageous.
- Experience with industrial network security and segmentation.
- Experience working within formal change-control, testing and acceptance processes.
