Role Overview
Our client operates in the telecommunications sector, focusing on unified communications solutions and services.
We are seeking a skilled Unified Communications Engineer to lead and implement Cisco Telephony and Videoconferencing projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Cisco environment, particularly with telephony and video conferencing systems. Responsibilities include managing major incidents, ensuring effective problem management, and updating technical documentation. You will also be responsible for skill transfer to technicians and responding to customer requests in collaboration with the team leader.

CONTRACT: short-term contract (up to 1 year)
LOCATIONS: On-site in Ottobrunn, Germany; Getafe, Spain; or Stevenage, United Kingdom
PROCESS: intro call + 2-step client interview process
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Cisco Telephony and Videoconferencing projects.
- Assist operational teams with complex incident resolution.
- Manage major incidents including qualification and resolution.
- Conduct problem management and root cause analysis.
- Transfer skills to technicians and engineers.
- Respond to customer requests in coordination with the team leader.
- Update technical documentation (HLD & LLD).
- Perform hardware and configuration tests.

Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a CISCO environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco telephony (CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber).
- Experience with Cisco video conferencing systems (CMS, TMS).
- Proficient in SIP/H323 protocols.
- Familiarity with VMware suite v7/v8.
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN networks and security.
- Good command of English (read, spoken, written).
- Systems administration experience is a plus.
