Role Overview

Our client operates a large-scale enterprise communications environment supporting business-critical collaboration, telephony, and video-conferencing services.

We are looking for an experienced Cisco Collaboration & Video Conferencing Engineer with strong hands-on expertise across Cisco video conferencing, endpoints, telephony, SIP/H.323, and collaboration infrastructure. The role combines Level 2 operational support, troubleshooting, project participation, infrastructure health monitoring, vendor escalation, and local team coordination.

Key Details

  • CONTRACT: short-term contract (up to 1 year)
  • LOCATIONS: On-site in Ottobrunn, Germany; Getafe, Spain; or Stevenage, United Kingdom
  • PROCESS: intro call + 2-step client interview process

Responsibilities

  • Resolve Level 2 incidents across Cisco telephony and video-conferencing environments.
  • Troubleshoot conferencing hardware, endpoints, peripherals, and collaboration applications.
  • Support Cisco CMS, Expressway, B2B, and Mobile & Remote Access (MRA) environments.
  • Maintain Cisco video endpoints including Room, SX, Personal, EQ, Webex, and Board series.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and proactively identify operational issues.
  • Participate in telephony and video-conferencing projects and upgrades.
  • Respond to customer escalations and coordinate complex issue resolution.
  • Escalate technical issues to vendors and Level 3 support when required.
  • Support operations teams on an ad hoc basis.
  • Coordinate the local team and promote knowledge sharing across the function.

Requirements

  • Advanced hands-on experience with Cisco video conferencing, including CMS, Expressway, B2B, and MRA.
  • Strong experience with Cisco video endpoints across Room, SX, Personal, EQ, Webex, or Board series.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco telephony, including CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, and related components.
  • Strong knowledge of SIP and H.323, collaboration security, and system administration.
  • Understanding of video codecs, encryption, certificates, and licensing models.
  • Experience with conferencing-room peripherals such as room navigators, displays, and Barco solutions.
  • Working knowledge of VMware.
  • CCNP Voice or comparable Cisco collaboration expertise.
