Looking to build your CPD, share best practice with a community of subject experts and further inspire your teaching? AQA is recruiting Citizenship examiners.
This flexible role fits alongside a full-time teaching job and is completed online from home.
Key responsibilities
- Review student responses and apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently to ensure fair results.
- Commit an average of 15 to 20 hours a week to marking during the exam period.
- Mark around 150 - 170 papers.
- Complete your marking over approximately one month. Full details of your allocation, deadlines, and earnings will be confirmed when you receive your contract.

What you need
- At least three terms of teaching experience of the relevant paper in the last five years.
- A senior referee who can verify your relevant experience.
- Take part in standardisation, which gives you the chance to practise applying the mark scheme before marking begins. Standardisation typically takes a few hours and fits around your existing commitments.
- Availability during the marking and standardisation period.
