Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity

I'm working with a highly regarded civil and structural engineering consultancy that is looking for a Civil Engineer to join its growing Development Infrastructure team in Wimbledon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to work on a diverse range of complex developments, with a strong focus on sustainable design, innovation, and creating better places for people.

You'll work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and wider design teams, taking projects from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • 3+ years' civil engineering experience, including at least 1 year of UK experience.
  • Experience using Civil 3D.
  • Experience with MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage.
  • Hands-on experience developing SuDS strategies for complex urban developments.
  • Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments across different flood zones.
  • A good understanding of civil engineering design within the built environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Your Responsibilities

You'll be involved in:

  • Delivering civil engineering designs from feasibility and option studies through to detailed design and construction.
  • Preparing detailed design drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Developing drainage and SuDS strategies for major developments.
  • Preparing reports to support planning applications and design-stage deliverables.
  • Coordinating design information with clients, contractors, and wider design teams.
  • Attending client, stakeholder, and design team meetings and workshops.
  • Responding to technical queries and requests for information.
  • Managing project deliverables, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Working alongside senior engineers to drive projects forward.
  • Providing guidance and support to more junior members of the team.
  • Contributing to internal knowledge sharing, CPD, and ongoing technical development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
