Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer - Highways, Drainage & Development Infrastructure

Location: Ringwood

Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Sector: Development Infrastructure - Highways, Drainage & Infrastructure Design

Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer - Ringwood

I'm working with a highly regarded engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen its established civil engineering team in Ringwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on an exciting mix of residential, commercial, retail, education, healthcare, and regeneration projects, delivering infrastructure solutions from planning through to detailed design and construction. You'll join a supportive team that places a strong emphasis on technical excellence, collaboration, and career development.

The role offers excellent scope to take ownership of projects while working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

The Role

You'll support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of development infrastructure projects across the South. Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing highways and drainage infrastructure including S38, S278, S104 agreements, SuDS, earthworks, and site levels.
  • Producing detailed infrastructure designs using Civil 3D together with InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, or similar software.
  • Working closely with architects, planners, clients, and local authorities to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
  • Managing projects through planning and detailed design while ensuring technical quality and programme delivery.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the continued development of the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
