Car Park Enforcement
Hours: 37 hours per week

Part-time hours or evening and weekend shifts may be considered (pro-rata pay equivalent)

We are looking for customer-focused people to join our team.

Your Duties

  • Patrol car parks throughout the Borough of Eastleigh.
  • Assist motorists, ensuring that vehicles are parked in accordance with regulations.
  • Issue penalty charge notices to vehicles found in contravention of parking legislation.

The hours of work are within a shift system in the range 8:00am to 8:00pm, which will include some Saturday and Sunday working. We may also consider a fixed work pattern depending on operational needs. On occasions you may work alone but your colleagues will always be nearby. You will be based at our offices in Upper Market Street, Eastleigh and undertake on-foot patrols throughout the town.

About You

  • Self-drive vehicles are supplied for patrolling elsewhere in the Borough; therefore, applicants must be able to drive and feel comfortable driving a small van (when making your application please confirm if you have a driving licence and the type of licence you hold, if applicable).
  • Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent experience.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Good experience in a customer facing role.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a proven ability to deal effectively with customers and remain calm in contentious and difficult situations.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems, follow procedures and processes and maintain accurate records.
  • An understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements and ability to enforce these when required.
  • A clear understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to use portable handheld computers for enforcement purposes.
