Description:

Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Join us to keep streets safe and clear for pedestrians and drivers travelling in the city.

  • You’ll patrol streets and issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles which are not complying with parking regulations.
  • Whilst patrolling, you’ll ensure pay and display machines are functioning correctly, and signs and lines are maintained.
  • During match day parking, you’ll patrol and check temporary restrictions are in place.

You may be required to drive a van or ride a scooter as well as assist with any vehicle that may need towing. Resilient yet customer focused, you’ll have experience of working with the members of the public especially in challenging situations. Using good literacy and numeracy skills, and with basic IT skills you’ll make clear recordings of events and observations as well as accurately record time using a 24 hour clock.

If you can work across the city in all weathers, potentially walking up to 7 hours per day, and are happy to wear a uniform then we would love to hear from you. You’ll be provided with all the necessary equipment including hand-held devices and a radio to carry out your role effectively.

These are full-time, permanent posts working 37 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends. Hours of work will be between 6am and 1.45am on a rota basis. This is a career graded post and appointment to a level will be based on experience and if you hold a full driving licence.
